My name is Shaked Sabatani, I'm 25 years old
and live in Tel Aviv. I'm a third year student
in Textile Design, specialising in knitting techniques
at Shenkar Engineering and Design School, Ramat-Gan.
I'm particularly fond of and interested
in exploring and creating colour palettes and shapes.
A series of geometric patterns hand-drawn with coloured markers. The patterns are inspired by African women’s clothing. I used characteristics and attributes of masks, tribal female figures, as well as symbols with natural, warm colour tones.

Screen printing
Layered screen designs, printed on a variety of fabrics.
The shapes featured in the designs are influenced by household items which are used as stencils throughout the projects.
The colour palette is inspired by the works of the Israeli artist Moshe Rosenthalis.
